    what is Culver’s Restaurants?

Culver’s is a popular fast-food restaurant chain based in the United States. It was founded in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin, by Craig and Lea Culver, along with Craig’s parents, George and Ruth Culver. The restaurant is known for its signature ButterBurgers, which are made with fresh beef and served on lightly buttered and toasted buns. Culver’s is also famous for its frozen custard, which comes in various flavors and is available in sundaes, shakes, and concrete mixers (a blend of frozen custard with various mix-ins).

In addition to ButterBurgers and frozen custard, Culver’s offers a diverse menu that includes chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, salads, and various sides. They take pride in using high-quality ingredients and providing a friendly dining experience for customers.

Culver’s has experienced significant growth and has expanded its presence across the United States with many franchise locations. The chain is particularly popular in the Midwest and has gained a loyal following for its fresh and tasty offerings. However, keep in mind that there may have been updates or changes beyond my last knowledge update, so I recommend checking their official website or other reliable sources for the most current information.

    BURGERS:

It seems that the hamburgers and cheeseburgers are considered gluten free without the bun. However, at Culver’s gluten-free buns are available! This is good news! According to their website: Gluten-Free Buns available upon request. Please note these buns are served warm and separate from your burger toppings to ensure safe food handling. They use Rotella’s gluten-free buns.

*Culver’s Restaurants are not gluten-free environments. While we take special precautions to prevent cross contamination, the possibility exists for food items to come in contact with other food products during preparation and cooking procedures. Please alert staff to your gluten-free needs.

One of the most common questions at fast food restaurants for people with celiac disease is “do you have a dedicated fryer?” Or “Do you have a separate fryer for gluten-free products”. In the case of Culver’s, despite their allergen guide saying that their french fries are fine for those with a gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity, this means that despite the fries containing no gluten ingredients, they are not truly safe because they share a fryer with the cheese curds. Culver’s Cheese curds are coated in flour and fried.

So, is Culver’s Custard Gluten Free?

Yes, some of the culver’s custards (aka ie cream) are gluten free. Their website does a good job at listing food allergies for those on a gluten-free diet (as well as any other food allergy). Their allergen grid can help you determine what may or may not be safe for you at your local Culver restaurant, however, it is is important to remember that just because Culver’s menu items are listed as being gluten free (like culver’s frozen custard), you need to remember to ask question about the risk of cross-contamination, shared cookies spaces, shared equipment and fryers. It is important to remember that you can ask as many questions as you need to determine that will be a great option for you.

So if you are looking for a sweet treat (and craving Culver’s fresh frozen custard) or in the mood for a true custard, Culver’s may be a safe option for you.

What is Culver’s Restaurant known for?

Culver’s Restaurant is primarily known for two main menu items:

    1. ButterBurgers: These are Culver’s signature hamburgers made with fresh, never-frozen beef patties. The burgers are cooked to order and served on lightly buttered and toasted buns, giving them a unique and delicious flavor. Customers have the option to customize their ButterBurgers with various toppings, such as cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and condiments.
    2. Frozen Custard: Culver’s is also renowned for its frozen custard, a rich and creamy dessert similar to ice cream but made with a higher egg yolk and butterfat content. The frozen custard is available in a variety of flavors, and customers can enjoy it in cones, sundaes, shakes, and concrete mixers (a thick blended treat with mix-ins like candy, cookies, or fruit).

Apart from these two main attractions, Culver’s offers a range of other menu items, including chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, salads, and sides. The restaurant is known for its commitment to using high-quality ingredients and preparing food to order, which contributes to its popularity and loyal customer base.

Overall, Culver’s has earned a strong reputation for offering tasty and satisfying meals, particularly the ButterBurgers and frozen custard, making it a favorite fast-food destination in the United States.
